Answer The Public's search wheel with examples of all the related searches for the keyword "blogging for business"

Answer The Public is a tool that helps you see what people are searching for in Google. It uses Google’s “People also ask” data to provide you with suggestions and questions people have.

I love Answer The Public because it allows me to see what people want to know, the kinds of questions they have around a topic, and it even allows me to determine search demand.

It’s one of the best tools I’ve used for researching public interest and search demand. If you’ve ever wondered what you should blog about, give it a try. It’s a lifesaver.

And one last thing, if you are like me and you hate subscriptions, you’ll love Answer The Public, they have an affordable lifetime membership you can buy.

Ahrefs

Ahrefs' organic keywords dashboard

Ahrefs is a suite of SEO tools that allow you to do keyword research, competitor analysis, content gaps, track your rankings, do in depth SEO analysis, backlink analysis, and so much more. It’s the best SEO tool in the market. And as such, they have the best data.

The only downside is that if you only care about blogging and doing keyword research, Ahrefs is very expensive. Ahrefs is best used when you want to use the full suite of tools they have to offer. If you do that, it’s a fantastic deal.

So, if you only want to do keyword research and content gap analysis, there’s another tool that’s a lot cheaper and will help you do pretty much the same thing.

Alternative to Ahrefs: Ubersuggest

Ubersuggest shows the keyword ideas dashboard with the results for the keyword "blogging"

Ubersuggest is a great alternative to Ahrefs because it offers a similar suite of SEO tools at a fraction of the cost. Ubersuggest is an excellent choice for SEO beginners and people who don't need the full suite of advanced features found in more robust tools like Ahrefs, Moz, and SEMrush.

Some of the things I love about Ubersuggest is how easy it is to use, how good the quality of the data is, and on top of all that, how cheap it is.

I can't emphasize this enough, Ubersuggest offers two plans - a monthly membership starting at $12 USD a month and a lifetime membership for as little as $120 USD. This makes Ubersuggest a cost-effective solution, especially for small businesses and people who are starting out in the world of SEO.

But don't let the low price tag fool you - Ubersuggest delivers impressive results. The platform's keyword research, rank tracking, and backlink analysis capabilities are very good.

So, if you're looking for a reliable and budget-friendly alternative to Ahrefs, Ubersuggest is definitely worth considering.

ClickUp

ClickUp's dashboard

ClickUp is one of the best tools I've used for managing blog writing workflows and processes (and for content creation in general).

One thing I love about ClickUp is how you can start using it for free, allowing you to use the platform without any upfront commitment. This gives you enough time to familiarize yourself with the software and determine whether it's the right fit for you. Once you reach the allocated space limit, you can upgrade to a paid plan that caters to your growing needs.

ClickUp has everything you need to ensure your blog writing projects are executed with precision and efficiency, from task assignment and deadline tracking to real-time collaboration and detailed reporting.

I can’t recommend it enough, check it out.

Rytr

Rytr's dashboard shows an example of what a blog post looks like in the editor

Rytr is a generative AI tool and writing assistant that's fantastic for bloggers, marketers, and content creators. I've been using Rytr since June 2023 and in that time, I've produced over 500 blog posts and tons of social media posts.

One of the things I love the most is the level of control Rytr gives you over the content it generates.

Unlike other AI tools that need you to provide detailed instructions, Rytr uses your existing content as the basis for all the new material it generates. This means that the output is aligned with your unique tone of voice and brand identity.

If you are interested in checking Rytr out, use this link. We are an affiliate so if you decide to buy using our link, we’ll get a commission that comes at no extra cost to you. So if you do that, thank you very much in advance.

Also, we have a guide that walks you through the process we use for creating blog posts with Rytr, read it so you know how to use the tool to produce high quality content fast.

Google Docs

Google Docs dashboard

Google Docs is a writing editor that's a part of Google Workspace. You'll have access to it as long as you have a free Gmail account or if your company uses Google Workspace.

Google Docs is ideal for bloggers looking to improve their content creation process and collaborate with teammates.

One of the things I love the most about using Google Docs for blogging is the ability to collaborate with my team. I use Docs all the time for content reviews and importing data into my blogs from spreadsheets and other Workspace tools.

So, if you already have a Gmail account, check it out. It’s amazing how useful it is for writing your content and presenting it before publishing.

Hemingway Editor

Hemingway is not as known as others on the market, but trust me, it is as powerful and useful as the other tools in this list.

What sets Hemingway apart is its ability to highlight areas for improvement in your writing. What it does is, it identifies complex sentences, excessive adverb usage, and it tells you when there’s an opportunity to simplify your language. Honestly, Hemingway is a godsend for polishing your content to perfection.

One thing I like is how Hemingway recently introduced AI to automatically provide you with alternatives and improvements, and it identifies and fixes grammatical errors. You no longer have to worry about how to rework a clunky sentence because you can’t think of an alternative on your own.

Another thing I love is how you can buy an offline desktop version of Hemingway for $19.99 USD. You can continue refining your writing even when you're on the go, without an internet connection. The only downside is that you won’t have access to its AI feature, but honestly, it’s alright, you don’t need it.

Believe me, once you start using Hemingway, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. It's a must-have tool that will take your copywriting to the next level.

If you are interested in checking Hemingway out, use this link. We are an affiliate so if you decide to buy using our link, we’ll get a commission that comes at no extra cost to you. So if you do that, thank you very much in advance.

Wordtune

Wordtune is a content editor that is like Grammarly but in my experience, it provides better corrections and it even expands on your writing.

This is actually a good alternative to Hemingway, and in some ways it's even more useful. For example, Wordtune has an extension that allows you to use Wordtune on pretty much any website that allows you to write. Some examples include email, social media platforms, and Google Docs.

And one thing I like a lot is that they have an app you can use on your phone or iPad. If you are the kind of person who likes to write on the go, then using it is a no-brainer.

My final thoughts

Look, there are thousands, if not millions of tools in the market for helping writers improve their copy. If for whatever reason you don't like these tools, then check alternatives. There are many tools I've never used but that could help you create better blog posts.

The key is to experiment and find the right set of tools that work best for your writing style and process. So don't be afraid to try new things.
